Watch “Dune” for Free This Thursday
Beginning this Thursday, October 21, you can watch Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic 1965 novel “Dune” for free if you subscribe to HBO MAX. It will be on that service for 31 days and opens in theaters this Friday. I’m preparing for by watching the David Lynch 1984 version. A huge commercial disappointment when released, it has cultivate a cult audience since then and you can include me in that group! The 40th anniversary edition of the book includes a “Terminology of the Imperium” that is very useful for understanding the world Herbert created in his landmark science fiction book series.
