“Free Palestine” by Changing Your Media Diet

If you are a daily viewer of left progressive media, “Breaking Points” or “Democracy Now!”–just to name a couple, you know what is really happening in Gaza now. If you watch MSNBC, CNN or FOX–you don’t.

You can correct this mistake right now by changing your media diet. You can also watch some excellent lectures, interviews and documentaries for free on YouTube. I recommend these.

“Al-Nakba: The Palestinian Catastrophe” This four episode documentary covers the history and background to the “Nakba,” the violent displacement of 750,000 Palestinians by Zionist paramilitaries in the year the state of Israel was created (not for humanitarian reasons as you may have thought.)

In this lecture, Columbia University Professor of Palestinian studies Rashid Khalidi talks about his landmark book, “The Hundred Years’ War on PALESTINE: A History of Settler Capitalism and Resistance, 1917-2017,” which I highly recommend reading.

An even more focused discussion with Professor Khalidi:

The government of Israel has shown no proof that their claims of mass rape by HAMAS during October 7, 2023 actually happened. What Hamas did was unforgivable but IDF propaganda is using this to justify their disproportionate, genocidal response as well as their own sexual menace and torture of Gazans.

“The New McCarthyism”: Pro-Palestine Educators Face Censorship, Harassment & Firings Across U.S. So many journalists are getting fired just for questioning the mainstream narrative about Gaza. Journalist Natasha Leonard talks about this with Amy Goodman.
